Four Days to Go, Why This Story Still Haunts Me

It began with silence. It ends with fire. And in four days, it belongs to you.

The Alpha Flame: Discovery by Catherine Lynwood
A quiet symbolic image of anticipation, release, and reflection — capturing the final moments before something begins.
Four days to go. Thank you for walking this road with me.

In four days, *The Alpha Flame: Discovery* will be out in the world.

It still feels strange to say that.

This book has lived with me for years, in notebooks, on scraps of paper, in long walks where dialogue replayed in my head, and in quiet moments when Maggie or Beth would surface and remind me they weren’t finished yet.

And now… they’re about to meet you.

This Story Changed Me

I’ve written before about how hard some scenes were. About the trauma, the tension, the weight of telling certain truths. But I’ve never said this: *The Alpha Flame* didn’t just change my writing. It changed me.

Writing Maggie taught me what it means to speak up, even when no one wants to hear. Writing Beth taught me how strong silence can be. And writing them together, well, that taught me what healing actually looks like. Not neat. Not fast. But possible.

It’s More Than a Book

I know it’s just ink and paper (or pixels and light, depending on your format). But this story, for me, is something more. It’s a reckoning. It’s a mirror. It’s a scream turned into something someone else can hold.

And I hope when you read it, it stays with you. Not in a heavy way. In a way that says: “Yes. I see you.”

Thank You

To everyone who’s pre-ordered, shared, commented, or simply asked, “When’s it coming out?”, thank you. Your support has meant more than I can say. I wrote this story for people who’ve lived through fire, and for those willing to walk beside them.

Last Chance to Pre-Order

If you haven’t yet, there’s still time to be among the first to read it. And if you have? Then thank you, and I can’t wait for you to meet Maggie and Beth.

Pre-order here, or just read more about the book that’s almost ready to breathe.

Four days. Let’s do this.
