This post is a simple one. No big announcements, no grand news, just a thank you.

Over the past few weeks, something beautiful has been happening quietly in the background. While I’ve been curled up with hot chocolate, Christmas lights, and a clutter of wrapping paper, I’ve seen a quiet ripple of readers choosing to spend time with The Alpha Flame: Discovery. Some have bought the book. Others have borrowed it on Kindle Unlimited. Pages have been turned. Emotions have been stirred. And somewhere, maybe in a kitchen in Manchester, a train carriage in Melbourne, or a cosy nook in Maine, someone I’ve never met has been walking alongside Maggie and Beth for the very first time.

That thought fills me with joy. Because this is why I write. Not for numbers or sales (though, of course, they help keep the lights on). I write to connect. To reach through pages and screens and say: “You’re not alone.”

So if you’ve picked up the book, even just a few pages… thank you. If you’ve shared it with a friend, thank you. If you’ve left a review or simply carried the story in your heart for a little while, thank you. Truly.

This story wouldn’t exist without readers like you.

And as we step into a new year, I wanted to share a short voice message with you. Just me, saying a very real, very personal thank you and wishing you a beautiful start to 2026.

Listen below:

However you’ve spent your holidays, busy, quiet, joyful, hard, I hope you’ve had a moment of peace, a spark of hope, or at the very least, a good cup of tea.

Here’s to stories that move us, people who surprise us, and the kind of courage that flickers even in the dark.

Happy New Year, friends.

With gratitude, always
Catherine
