What’s Next for Catherine Lynwood?

Yes, there’s a sequel. And yes, it gets even darker.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next After Discovery?

The emails, the DMs, the Q&A sessions, everyone keeps asking the same thing: Is there going to be a sequel?

Yes. And it’s already well underway.

The Alpha Flame: Reckoning

The second book in the trilogy is called Reckoning. And it picks up exactly where Discovery left off. No time jump. No fade to black. Just the raw consequences of what Maggie and Beth have survived, and what they’re about to face next.

This one is darker. Not because of the violence (though it’s still there), but because now the questions get bigger. What does justice look like? What does healing actually cost? And can Maggie really protect Beth, or is she just breaking herself to try?

Where I Am With It

I’m deep in the writing process. The outline is done. The first chapters are drafted. And already, the emotional weight is heavier than Discovery. There are scenes I’ve written that shook me more than anything in book one.

But there’s light too. A few new characters. A few surprises. And a version of Maggie that’s even more fiercely herself.

What Else Is Coming?

There’s a third book, Redemption, that will close out the trilogy. But I’m also working on side pieces, songs, short fiction, and a few experimental bits that live in this world but follow different threads.

I’m also considering a collection of Verostic shorts. Gritty, emotional, stand-alone stories that echo the same emotional truth, different characters, same fire.

Catch up on Discovery here if you haven’t read it yet, and thank you for helping launch something this raw into the world.
